Terms of Service
The short version
Use Logma to log meals. Don't try to break it, abuse the AI, or reverse engineer it. Calorie estimates are approximations, not medical advice. Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We can change these terms occasionally and we'll let you know if we do.
Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using the Logma app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Logma.
What Logma is
Logma is an iOS application that helps you log meals using voice, text, or manual entry, then uses AI to estimate calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat). The app is provided by Batuhan Buyukakkan, an indie developer based in Istanbul, Turkey.
Not a medical device
Logma is a consumer wellness tool, not a medical device, diagnostic system, or replacement for professional advice. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations, not clinical measurements. Don't use Logma to manage medical conditions, eating disorders, or anything where precision matters more than rough guidance. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian for any health-related decisions.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Logma. If you're between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your country), you can only use Logma with a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly accept users under 13.
Acceptable use
To keep Logma working well for everyone, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use the AI features for anything other than logging food (no jailbreak attempts, no using it as a general chatbot, no prompt injection).
- Bypass or attempt to bypass rate limits, cost caps, or App Attest verification.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Logma without written permission.
- Use the app to harass, harm, or spam others.
- Submit content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, or violates anyone's rights.
We reserve the right to revoke access to the AI features or terminate your subscription if you violate these rules.
Subscriptions and pricing
Logma offers a free tier and two paid tiers. All purchases are made through Apple's in-app purchase system.
- Free: 18 lifetime AI logs (voice and AI text), unlimited manual entry, all core features. No card required.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month, auto-renewing. Unlimited AI logs.
- Yearly: $59.99 per year with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Auto-renewing.
Local pricing varies by country and is displayed in your local currency at checkout.
Free trial
The yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers only. You can cancel any time during the trial through your iPhone Settings to avoid being charged. If you don't cancel, the subscription will auto-renew at the regular price.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Refunds
Apple processes all payments and handles refund requests directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund. We don't process refunds ourselves because we never receive your payment information.
Price changes
If we ever change subscription prices, we'll notify current subscribers in advance through the app and via Apple's standard notification process. Any price change only applies to renewals after the notification, never to active billing periods.
AI accuracy disclaimer
Logma's AI gives calorie and macro estimates based on the meal description you provide. These estimates are typically accurate to within 10 to 15 percent for clearly described meals, but accuracy varies. Vague descriptions, regional dishes, restaurant variation, and your own portion estimation all introduce error. Treat the numbers as guidance, not gospel.
If you have a condition where exact intake matters (diabetes, kidney disease, eating disorder recovery, competitive athletics requiring strict macros), don't rely on Logma alone. Use a clinical tool or work with a professional.
Intellectual property
The Logma app, brand, name, logo, design, and underlying code are owned by Batuhan Buyukakkan and protected by copyright and trademark law. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You own your meal data. Anything you log is yours. You also own the photos, voice recordings, and text descriptions you create within the app.
Service availability
We work hard to keep Logma running, but we don't guarantee any specific uptime or availability. The app depends on third-party services (Apple, Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel) that occasionally have outages. When they're down, AI features may not work. Manual entry will keep working since it's fully on-device.
Updates and changes
We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, change behavior, or remove features. We'll do our best to communicate significant changes. Continuing to use Logma after an update means you accept the changes.
We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date and post a notice on logma.fit. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
Termination
You can stop using Logma at any time by deleting the app. Your on-device data will be removed. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through iPhone Settings to stop future charges. Apple does not refund the unused portion of subscriptions in most cases.
We may suspend or terminate access to AI features if you violate these terms or abuse the service.
Disclaimer of warranties
Logma is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or that it will meet your specific needs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Logma is limited to fifty US dollars ($50) or the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or health outcomes related to dietary decisions you make using the app.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Batuhan Buyukakkan from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of Logma, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey, unless local consumer protection law in your country gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home country.
Apple-specific terms
Because Logma is distributed through the App Store, Apple requires us to include the following:
- These Terms are an agreement between you and Logma (Batuhan Buyukakkan), not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to use Logma is non-transferable and is restricted to use on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Logma.
- If Logma fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever for Logma.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims you have relating to Logma, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, claims under consumer protection or similar legislation, and claims arising from privacy law.
- If a third party claims that Logma infringes their intellectual property rights, Logma (not Apple) is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
